Unfolding Plays
#1

Pet -- Did you happen to see Blair Price's article where he mentioned Tricceratops ? In his piece "Unfolding plays",(4-19-13 in PNG Industry News), he refers to 1700 sq. kms of seismics in south of ppl 338. It is going to be interesting in the future to see just how far this field could actually extend. Have a good day, sir.

I believe ppl 338 contains several areas, so I don't know how much of the 1700 sq. kms will be in the immediate area north of Tricera .

Sageo- I will try to answer this to the best of my ability. I believe that Kina Petroleum’s PPL339 is the block just north of Triceratops. As I recall they farmed out 70% of their licenses to OilSearch. So it is now more OilSearch than it is Kina. They are north of Triceratops but the area to the northwest is still in the IOC license PPL237 (PRE 10% WI). If you look at http://www.interoil.com/iocfiles/documen...0Final.pdf Page 18 you will see a horizontal line at the top of the map. That line and the dotted line that joins it on the west end identifies the boundary between PPL339 and PPL237. You will also see that the “prospective resource area” is shown shaded and cross-hatched in yellow. So it appears that both Kina and IOC think the field will extend into the Kina license area. The higher part of the structure will remain in the IOC license area to the northwest.
