UNXL
#1

Unipixel has 13mm shares outstanding and a huge short position. They have developed a touch screen technology to compete with ITO, Indium TIN Oxide. Unixl's technology is much cheaper and can scale to devices over 13 inches in size. On Dec 8, 2012 , UNXL announced a deal with a PC manufacturer(unnamed but widely known to be DELL) with an initial payment to UNXL of $5,000,000 to get preferred pricing and preferred delivery later this year. In April UNXL announced a deal with an "Eco system partner" (unnamed but widely known to be Intel) with an initial payment to UNXL of $5,000,000. Unipixel uses a roll film technology with printing on the film required. After the Intel deal, Unipixel announced a deal  with Eastman Kodak in which each company is putting up $12,000,000 to build out a production facility at Eastman Kodak's factory.

The market for touch screen devices is exploding up and will continue to do so for years. The earnings potential for UNXL is enormous, particularly in view of the small number of outstanding shares. The stock has declined from $42 due to a delay in Microsoft's software which is holding up Dell. Msft's upgraded 8.1 software should be on the shelf by mid October and Dell should have UNXL's touch screen installed about that time.  The Kodak facility should be producing by Q2 of 2014. UNXL has $50,000,000 in cash, no debt.

The contest is heating up, thanks for that Paciottiman. This looks interesting, and in fact I have done some work on display technologies myself:

The latter changed the ticker to OLED, the stock doubled, but then fell back.

So I'll have a look at UNXL, it seems interesting at first sight, thanks.

That's quite a stock there, paciottiman. Seems like we've seen this film before.. From Velocity Trading:

Over the last few months Uni-Pixel (UNXL) has unfolded as quite an exciting story for market speculators on both sides of the trade. The stock saw a dramatic rise in price of almost 800% from it's $5.27 lows in October 2012 to as high as $41.42 mid-April as traders struggled to price UniBoss' potential. Just as no hero is without an antagonist, a story like this also comes with its skeptics, which according to Nasdaq.com as of 5/15 are about 4,180,612 strong, representing a whopper of a 43.2% short float.

As the old adage goes: 'If you're losing a tug of war get more people'. It appears shorts continued to pile on en masse during the latter part of May releasing a barrage of negative articles that sent shares reeling from $37.44 to $14.31 in 11 trading sessions, an almost 62% haircut. As shareholders tried to wrap their heads around the sharp move, they were also tasked with what to make of the outlandish claims laid out in the recent article "A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words," which drew its fair share of attention & criticism. While some take issue with the author's credibility in citing numerous unnamed and highly questionable sources, 'engineers' and claimed expert network contacts, I take issue with a few more glaring errors.

Most of the critical comments by the shorts on Seeking Alpha are false. The pictures from the seeking alpha are well over a year old and no longer relevant. Unxl has updated pictures where the lines are not visible. Why did Dell pay UNXL $5,000,000? Do they know anything about touch screen technology? Why did Intel pay UNXL $5,000,000? Does Intel know anything about touch screen technology? Why is Eastman Kodak spending $12,000,000 to build out a production facility dedicated to producing UNXL's touch screens? Does Eastman Kodak know anything about printing on film?

I can provide analyst reports if needed.

Well, that I published that link doesn't mean I agree with the content but I felt that people had to be aware that not everybody is equally enthusiastic about this stock. To take a position requires considerable DD.

I didn't assume you agree with the Seeking Alpha content but many of the Seeking Alpha articles, both long and short, are not credible. I agree that it is important to examine both long and short assertions. Because I speak to analysts covering UNXL and have visited the company in Texas I believe I am up to date on the facts. I expect to visit EK at some point this year.
I appreciate your objectivity.

Read to the bottom of this link to a Barrons article in which Synaptics describes Unipixel as their partner. Synaptics CEO said about SYNA "we are without a doubt the touch leader in the world". Add SYNA to Dell, Intel, and Eastman Kodak as partners in touch screen products expected to hit the market in the 4th quarter 2013. http://blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily...-eps-beat/
