Why did IOC Corp cancel the WA presentation??Cause theres no news?? Not likely!!!!!

Heres a few news puzzle pieces for ya :

Many poster have heard the IPI have had an offer?? Why?? Thats news and its positive.

All the OSH presentations state things are a changing. Words like initial participation mean change and what's new ?? Oh IOC has the NG you need and its means changes to the original agreements. Thats news and its positive.

The Platts articles are well sourced and they have news and its positive.

Phil talked about transforming IOC with an LNG deal and didn't get it done. Dr Mike is working on more than one LNG deal for IOC and has the background to successfully complete the deal.

Spoke to one of IOC's largest shareholders and they are not selling anything as in nada, ah nothing,, Since they are better connected than most it best to wait Dr Mike out right now!!

I really don't understand why some continue to throw Phil Mulacek under the bus. I suspect it is simply the need to scapegoat someone for the difficulty of making a deal as large as this in such trying circumstances.

My hope is that Dr. Mike won't dash your hopes. He may have made some pretty good deals over the past couple of years for his company, but lots of people seem to be bailing from Aussie projects lately. I hope his recent deals have not left him with a reputation where "partners" are finding themselves having bought pigs in pokes as opposed to a rep for negotiating "win wins".

We'll see. My guess continues to be the deal will involve gas going to PNG LNG and a new plant in the Gulf. Lots of cats to herd in those deals, whoever is in charge. But throwing the guy under the bus who put together the team that found this resource? That's just wrong.

Apparently you are unaware that Mulacek was terminated as CEO . THE bod terminated him!!  He made mistake after mistake. I am not going to detail his errors of judgement that have seriously hurt IOC . If you can't figure that out you are hopeless.  Stop whining and move on. This is a business.

There is plenty o IOC deal news and for the first time it's so serious that it's being kept completely quiet. How many large companies talk about this and that deal before they do them??
This conference call will be completely different than any other IOC conference call. Period

If you would care to enumerate the "mistake after mistake"Mulacek made I would be much appreciative.  Is his major judgement failure the hiring of Henry Aldorf or perhaps the failure to undermine project Zebra and Shell's bid to take over IOC for pennies on the dollar?  Oh yeah.  The guy's judgement was so bad he only secured rights to fields with likely tens of trillions of cubic feet of NG while building a refinery that supplies  70%(?) of PNG's domestic hydrocarbon needs.

BTW, you apparently don't understand the difference between a whine and a challenge based on critical thinking.  Just who the hell are you and just how long have YOU been following this story?

Art- I think that Phil is and was a genius a true visionary who did things that others only dream of. That said I don't think he had the skill set needed to get IOC to the next level. If Somare had not gotten sick who knows? Sometimes ya gotta just roll with it and the drive that got Phil to where he got IOC may have been to strong and he may have under estimated the political landscape.

That said let's go Hokies and Boomer Sooner and HTTR or  a BIG football weekend. ,,

Art, you seems  to take the negative comments against Phil very personal.  If you believe he handled himself like a top level executive at all times I would disagree.  One easy example, I recall most saying that the conference calls were full of poorly directed comments and we (AND THE MARKEET)  were often left with a sense of un fulfillment when Phil spoke.  Who knows if Somare was still in (who knows either way).  In reality, I believe if you told people after all the pumping 3 years ago that in October 2013 we would still have no deal (I know and I ask believe the deal is going to be big and I hope it will) we would almost all say you were crazy.....but here we are.  Somare's raine may not have been clear cut either.  Art, I know we don't always see eye to eye but I have witnessed first hand that if someone does not agree with you or says negative things about management you are very aggressive and borderline nasty.  This should not be a part of SHU.  JMHO UOF

I suppose we all have our own sensitivities that trigger responses.  One of mine seems to be the castigation of Mulacek as an incompetent leader for a failure that none of us truly know any man could have avoided.  I never could quite ascribe to the "what have you done for me lately" school of oversight philosophy.

And yes, I was a little "short" in my last response.  Maybe even a tad nasty.  My apologies.
