Earnings Call
#1
We need Phil to let us know how close we are to NEC approval. I believe that is the #1 announcement that will send the stock soaring.
I know the earnings number isn't that important, but I remember they were worse last quater bacause they had to bump up the cost of their oil inventory because the cost had gone up I believe. Will they have to do this again bacause of soaring oil costs? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks.
P.S. This board is an oasis. Thanks to all!!

Welcome Bill! You will find it much easier to think and converse on this site. Yazoo is about as bad a site as I've ever seen as far as investment usefullness. Let em have that MB; 99% crap.

Agree on earnings number, but will be surprised if Phil says a whole lot on NEC other than they continue to talk with members, etc. I think what might be better question after we get a T2 update is to answer how important T2 results are to both the SD and the NEC. I would guess very important, but then it's at what point does it have to be and what results need to be obtained for them to have reasonable assurance that things will move ahead. If they need to be at TD with all testing and analysis complete, that tells us a lot. If initial DST info is enough, that also tells us a lot.

Just a few days away, and before the bell Monday. That's as interesting as anything.

It Appears that their will be a news release on MON.it will release financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2011 before the market opens for trading on Monday, March 19th, 2012 with full text of the news release and accompanying financials available on the company's website at www.interoil.com. A conference call will be held on Monday, March 19th, 2012 , at 7:30 a.m. Central ( 8:30 a.m. Eastern) to discuss the financial and operating results, as well as the company's outlook."

Why not give SHs the ability to digest the financials and the news release before the CC? Why the change from the Usual MON after the close and a TUE AM CC?

Do they expect a lot of questions because the issues are complex?

Puts; think there's a chance They release earnings sometime Friday PM? The release says they will be released before the market opens on Monday, March 19th. Might make sense to release Friday afternoon so shareholders have the weekend to digest prior to the CC Monday AM. Hmmmmm

I assumed they stated before monday open rather than after friday's close to give them as much time for any drilling news. At this stage a couple more days of drilling/testing could be quite significant in terms of what they find out.

Justin I was thinking they might get as close as they can and pause just a bit till just after the close on Friday. Then they have about 60 hours to get a gas kick over the weekend and announce it just before the opening bell on Monday. For all the short manipulation that has gone on with this stock and naked illegal shorting I wouidn't be surprised if Phil used this opportunity to get a little pay back. It might mean just pausing for a day or two to pull this off and time it right.
