So he's offering an "independent audit", and that's all he had to say really.

I think he is scare about the outcome of the IC's finding, How rediculous it is to offer to have another accouting firm to do the audit.  A world reknown firm is not enough. The interview was bad and the anchors did a good job  and asked if this is another publicity  stunt. How funny??

If the SP does not capitulate lower here, this is the low for the forseeable future. End of Carson Block. He might have to long stocks from now on, no more shorts!

Muddy Waters offered to hire an independent and qualified accounting firm to evaluate the independent committee's investigation into whether NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ) is a fraud.

Muddy Waters Makes Offer to NQ Mobile (NQ)

It looks like he's resigned to a positive outcome of the independent audit already, and wants the doubt to continue..

isnt this the normal play book.  Refute what the "independent" committee finds and claim that they are biased?

No it isn't. Toro Investment Partners already showed that the original MW report wasn't written in good faith, so it's not much of a surprise.

They simply want to continue the doubt even after the independent audit comes with a clean bill of health, and they seem to expect that..
