One of these days... those short will see a spike, yawn, and think: "we can drive it back down again... no problem!".

Unfortunately for them, there will be a super spike one day that will never retrace... The gaps do NOT always get filled. Smile

Are you still short Whitney ?!?

While we are speculating...

Anyone else notice that the option spreads have been super wide all day today ?!?!

Do the options' guys know something ? (Or, do they have a rookie running the options market gizmo today ?!?)

I see the volume spiking along with the spike in PPS. Someone buying in quantity.

A see a trade today of 1000 calls (Feb 22 at $65 strike) AND a 1000 puts (Feb 22 at $65 strike).

OK - what are they up to... I can't tell the price they paid for the 1000 calls - but the puts appear to be at $12.75 indicating they were bought before the sharp price spike.

I just looked at the March 22nd options... We have "matched" trades for about 500 options at BOTH the $65 strike and the $70 strike - puts and calls, similar quantity, same strike...

Thoughts anyone ???

The only think I can guess is that the calls were some "mad play money" 10k$ for the calls after getting 1.27 million for the puts?
