I'm willing to bet that Bobcat is a bust.  Dr. Mike warns of the 1 in 10 exploration wells being successful probably because Bobcat will be released first.  Wahoo has something, they are just trying to figure out what.   Pure speculation but it sure is consistent with the statements.

Good luck longs.

Part of Hession rework of tbe drilling program may have been drill more wells at the same time. Odds of success improve with the higher number of wells drilled. It is interesting to reflect back on Elk 3 which hit water and gas and was off to the side of the reservoir rock they were looking for. My point is the reservoir rock may be there but your chosen area to drill for it may be off.

As to  which wells will hit this time or not and their odds I defer to what PET has written . He sees good odds for all 3 wells. They would not be drilling at these locations without good cause . A discovery at Wahoo would do the most for the stock price is my take. If we hit the right rock it would confirm the Miocene reef theory and it's adjacency to Port Moresby would help with its monetization. We just have to wait and see based on the volumn many are willing to wait.

Can't read too much into this. Can't twist facts to liking either, never worked before, will not work now...

I would venture to say they released article for a reason. Probably to quiet the restless masses for a bit

I tend to agree with you cyber, but after thinking about it for a couple of days I just wonder if the piece was posted as an homage to MH.  What it told us about Wahoo was little if anything, although it certainly was a (non material) crumb which we all rapidly gobbled up.  The article also did recognize the contributions of PM which (no surprise here) I thought was appropriate.  But just why was it posted on IOC's website?

Maybe the webmaster said, 'C'mon fellas, you pay me good money.  I have to put SOMETHING up from time to time.'

Something somewhere is "very exciting". We are drilling so it's drilling related.

The problem is the definition of "very exciting."

To some that would be commercial oil

Others might be  very excited with finding reservoir rock at Wahoo . Commercial find or not.

Many possibilities all we know for sure is they are "very exciting"

Beats the heck out of no news at all we should agree.

The important point it's still on page one of Interoils website.
