Music Radar
#1

If you have an iPhone or android, Doreso is the app (on iPhone haven't looked on android) that is Music Radar. I have to say NQ do have top-notch designers. Also, if this app were to take off it could be an interesting and disruptive social network of sorts, not just the radar capability. Just an aside to negative stuff, NQ really does have talent.

It isn't quite Americanized, hopefully they can make this more country specific.

I also heard a lot of good feedback of that. if they can get preinstalled on Xiaomi like what they did with HTC phone, it will become another half billion business

I did some quick research on it. Doreso.com is domain name of Shanghai JinLong Tech company. This company is founded in 2012 and acquired by NQ mobile in Sept 2013(around 1 million dollars). There is no detail on the accquistion so not sure how much NQ owns of it, but should be 50%+ as it's now part of NQ mobile

The original deal was buying 55% of it, not sure if they own more than that at this point. Obviously they put their own design resources into it, and pushed it out in various partnership deals, personally I'd be surprised if they didn't own more of it, but either way at min it's 55% ownership.

OK, thanks for that. I do not understand the logic of not branding Music Radar as part of NQ. Personally, whether I am here or in China, I would be much less inclined to download anything to my phone that comes from a company I have never heard of. While NQ is not YET a household name, they would be easier to check out vs. someone called Doreso. Jmho.

Good question. If I get a response I'll post it. I'm sure music radar for a name is taken here in the U.S. Not sure about that kind of thing for China. But valid points.
