Come on, Wednesday
#1

Option Chain says the hedgies want $56.50 today, but the MM wants $58.00, and it would be fun to watch, if it were not for real money. <g>

Come on, Wednesday.

I had a dream last night. Please post your dreams in this thread. It's more fun to dream than to worry about Option Chains and Hedgies and MM's and Shorts

.... the following macro world events will propel the stock markets to new highs in the near term:

1. Vladimir Putin will abdicate and join Tony Blair and Bill Clinton as former heads of government selling themselves on the speakers' tour to the highest bidder. They'll be the opening act on the upcoming Lady Gaga tour in the UK starting in October in Birmingham
2. Garry Kasparov will be the new leader of Russia and will play Chancellor Merkel in a winner-take-all chess match to see who takes over the Ukraine. Angela has been taking private lessons from Boris Spassky for the past 6 months
3. The Gaza Strip will be acquired by China in an all-cash deal valued at 10 Billion Shekels. They intend to convert it into a tourist destination for wealthy Chinese. All inhabitants will be hired by the Chinese to work in the new sea-side resort hotels. Sinopec will also drill for gas off-shore and bring in Woodside as a JV Partner.
4. Cuba will become the 51st State of the Union. Disney, Universal Studios and Lego Land have already drawn up plans for theme parks and Donald Trump will build a mega-casino/hotel/shopping complex
5. Apple will acquire Samsung rather than continue fighting them over patent claims. They will sell 52 different Smart Phone models, 10 different Tablets, 15 different Phablets and 5 Watches.
6. Tesla will acquire GM, recall all cars and trucks produced over the last 10 years, and convert them to electric driverless vehicles

.... the following will be revealed on IOC's Conference Call on Wednesday August 13 2014:

1. Lord John Browne will be the new InterOil Chairman of the Board
2. IOC will be delisted from the NYSE and listed on the Singapore and Australian Stock Exchanges
3. Raptor and Bobcat have both been declared Gas Discoveries by InterOil and accepted as such by the PNG Government. They estimate 4 TCF of recoverable gas from EACH of the fields. They expect the figure to grow substantially when additional wells are drilled in due course
4. InterOil is confident that oil is present in commercially recoverable quantities in Raptor and Bobcat. They estimate 300 Million Barrels of Oil recoverable from these two wells alone
5. It is planned to re-commence drilling operations on Wahoo by September 1 with new equipment (higher-rated BOP; larger motors; larger pipes; heavier mud; etc) and a new Drilling Manager named Phil Mulacek
6. InterOil stated that they are confident they will lose the arbitration with OSH. IOC view this as being the best possible outcome. It was the only way they could throw TOTAL's CEO Christophe de Margerie off the bus. TOTAL has no money, no people and no desire to implement an LNG plant in PNG until 2022. They already have too many LNG assets in Qatar, where they are planning to manage the World Cup that year.

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE

I always felt that during the Greek financial crisis the Chinese would pour money in but they didn't. This time they may do it in Gaza. It's a bigger opportunity for them there than some of those crappy islands in the South China Sea.

It's time for Cuba to give up and be part of US. Perhaps Puerto Rico will join at the same time? All the rich Cubans are in Miami already.

AFR said new COB comes from a SM and is well known in Oz. No other choice but Lord Browne. If I'm right, Richard Chandler helped make it happen. Lord Browne joined Riverstone Holdings LLC as a Partner in 2007. Look them up.

They have numerous E&P partners. He is co-head of their Renewable a Energy Funds. He's on the Board of Directors of CODA Holdings and of Cuadrilla Resources.

Raptor and Bobcat have lots of gas. IOC can't release results until the government gives the OK.

If OSH can find oil so can IOC.

Wait a few days.

Tree picked Hession as potential CEO and ended up being correct. Last night I asked him to predict this COB. He came back with Peter Vosser former CEO of Shell Australia and Royal Dutch Shell. Retired in December after some recent flubs including betting heavy on US shale. Also named effective Jan 1 2015 to BOD of Singapore's huge Temasek Holdings; $300 billion conglomerate.

Could Tree be right again?

He'd be my very distant second choice Palm.

He destroyed Shell and helped put ABB in trouble.

Yep and yet Pete was named petroleum executive of the year in March 2013. Go figger. Wasn't long after he went into nosedive.

Palm. Seems tree is onto something. Not the first time Temasek holdings name associated indirectly with ioc. Singapore would like yo be an LNG hub. Where will they get more gas? Very interesting.

Stavros. When's your next stand up act! I'll be there...

Peter Voser spent his entire career in finance.
Why would IOC want an executive with his background running them .... an exploration company?

It would make no sense to me unless he comes on-board to wrap up a takeover by Shell
