The board would be removed with an $80 acceptance offer

It's going to happen sooner than later. If the offer is conforming then it goes to a vote of shareholders. If it is hostile the poison pill can be triggered creating 2x shares. If the offer is accepted then there is no Board once the transaction is closed so they have no risk of being "removed." The price will be determined by WBR results and Chandler. A conforming bid will be at a price that is almost certain to be approved. Probably closer to $100 if there is anything to WBR. Maybe more if things go well. Total may have something to say about owning all of IOC themselves. Let's hope for good news on WBR and a takeover to soon follow.

Between Botten's endless gas expansion scenarios and the guy who keeps pounding the table for a Woodside buyout not sure which gets more mileage.
