Stock buy back
#1

Would be nice for the company to have an extra  500 million to buy back it's stock .  Would the lawyers allow the company to do this when the officers are not allowed. Would be nice to buy  10  million share at average price of 50. Did Hession hint  at selling about 25 percent of EA. Maybe he is thinking of a Japanese company as required by  a  long term deal with Japan. Too bad Byker had to sell stock.

*********

Are we just adopting JFT's contention that IOC insiders are legally prohibitted from buying shares as gospel...or has this been officially/publically stated as fact by the company?

Not sure CAC call the company really quite simple . Phone numbers listed everywhere. Call and report back .

I know of no such "hint".  They sold 40% to Total and are retaining the rest for the LNG project.  What are you talking about???

Please look at  post of 1/05/2015.  Stakes in the jungle.  Hesion says.  We may bring in a buyer

Sorry it does not say 25 percent

For IOC it is very important to drill the 40 prospects. They need a lot of cash to do this. Developping a new field costs approx 0.5 B. It is a pity that it will take such a long period before they will see revenues from the A/E field (2020?). Buying back stock will hurt the cash position. However, the present PPS decline offers an unique opportunity to leverage the share value.

I feel sure that is in reference to a very small interest that might be sold by the partners to a customer buyer of the LNG in the future, probably at a higher price.

I think Exxon sold 1-2 percent to a Japanese off take . Tokyo Gas ?????Seems to be the custom. Not 25 percent . At a higher price because risk was reduced fir the project .

I was puzzled by his statement. I can't envision Hession losing focus and spending his time  selling $25,000  interest in EA . My point to the post was that the pps is ridiculiosly low.
