How much pressure and how quickly can/will the PNG Gov't put it on XOM to get going on their next two-train LNG plant?? They (the Gov't) have obviously spent all of the cash flow from the initial LNG plant and would like/need more cash ASAP. Pushing XOM to buy more gas quickly and build more plant would be the fastest way to more cash flow it seems to me. The Govvy has issued to IOC a shiny new PRL license (#39) and all that the license needs is a supermajor company to "help" us with delineating wells in order to figure out how much is down there. Mike's price and equity interest is probably not much different from Total's so there is not any big problem as I see it. No one is talking about this so maybe it's not happening. Comments??

The cash flow to the government from PNG LNG has just barely started, and I don't think you are right about Triceratops and Exxon, either. Sorry, but don't have time for a lot of detail.
Check out IOC's presentations since Dec 3, 2014, and numerous postings on SHU related to your subjects. |
