IOC June 30 Short Interest

IOC short interest as of June 30 settlement date 3,325,549 shares, down 192,909 shares, or 5.5%, from 3,518,458 shares as of June 15.  I would guess it has increased again so far this month.

Today was monthly options expiration, right?

Chandler sold near the bottom in a block that was worked by the brokers this week , not sure how many more shorts were added will interesting to see the next 2 week report .

As I understand, the percentages of Short Sales recently has been very low. Starting 8 July through 16 July the % of short sales to total IOC volume was between 5.3 - 9.1%.

Normal IOC Short Sales is usually 12-18%. During these Normal days, the Short Interest has been dropping.

So, JFT, it seems likely that Short Interest has dropped since 30 June.
Time will tell.

Common sense would indicate your are correct but the last 10 days the volume is up considerably mostly because of Chandler's block I assume so here's hopin you nailed it Stavros.

Broke that $46-47 bottom we can see . Still it was a below the market trade and a large block . On next support level .
