What all Know about Duma

1) Duma has grossly mis-managed DPE

7) Duma needs deal prior to election as he may become useless to Shell in just a couple of months.
8) Duma hasn't the power to prevent JKM/CHEVRON/BG/TOTAL/XOM a fair bid process for IOC/Partnership.

This is all very interesting TreeBama. The politics of PNG are landing squarely on Duma's head and the pressure is going to crush him. People have maligned Phil and used the statement "The Emperor wears no clothes" on him. Very much the contrary; The DPE Minister wears no clothes. Duma has been "exposed" for what he is; a bumbling self-serving PNG politician who has messed up the country's prized project; PNG LNG, and now Exxon is slapping back. They know a good deal of the problems they are having are due to the poor job Duma and DPE did up front and Exxon does not want to take the whole blame for it. Some corners were cut (some of them the same as what Duma is now accusing IOC of; LO identification, etc) with DPE's blessing and Exxon is saying, "Now you are wanting to work against us in the IOC bidding by pushing Shell. We are 4x the size of Shell and you want to play these games? Not so fast my leeeeetle friend."

So Duma is now forced to scramble for survival and his ultimate survival is to walk away with a lot of Kina sticking out of his pockets by getting Shell PRL15. And he needs that to happen fast. Duma wil most likely not be retained by O'Neill after elections, and he will not garner enough support to be PM. He does the opposite of the famous saying, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Duma's only chance is to make people think he has a big stick and to speak loundly through the press. However, my Antelope's "stick" is bigger and more powerful than anything Duma has. It will last beyond the elections while Duma's withers and dies.
