SINGAPORE and PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea, Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

InterOil Corporation (NYSE: IOC; POMSoX: IOC) reported that wireline logging from the Antelope-4 sidetrack-1 well in Petroleum Retention License 15 in Papua New Guinea has confirmed a southern extension of the Elk-Antelope field's high-quality, gas-bearing dolomite.

The logs measured 182 vertical meters (597 feet) of dolomite and a vertical gross gas column of about 339 meters (1,112 feet).

InterOil Chief Executive Dr Michael Hession said the field continued to surprise on the upside.

"First, we intersected the top of the reservoir 36 meters (118 feet) higher than the original Antelope-4 penetration," Dr Hession said.

"Second, our interpretation of data from Antelope-4 and Antelope-5 suggests that the field-wide gas-water contact is deeper than previously interpreted."

The PRL 15 joint venture intends to begin drilling Antelope-6 in December this year as part of the appraisal program to define the resource for the Papua LNG Project.

The joint venture is also considering an additional appraisal well on the western flank of the Antelope field that could add an incremental volume of 1 to 3 Tcfe.

Is there are market for dolomite two? As long as we're at it and have plenty of thyme, lets mine it.

It's soaked in OIL and CONDENSATE Palm.
Can't export it in standard ships, unless we want too send the ships two the moon.

Stavros - Good am . Maybe getting a little giddy after all these years, but I was thinking.....when we've drilled Ant 6, if we again hear those great words " we continue to be surprised on the upside"<img src=" border="0" class="smilie" src="http://shareholdersunite.com/mybb/images/smilies/smile.gif" />, then we will know ( as we say on the farm) that we are in "hog heaven" .

Always good to get information trickling down from the mountain top. Phil would have provided the condensate percentage, average porosity, characteristics of the non dolomite producing column and the gas/water interface elevation. If this information is proprietary it would be nice to know why.

But then beggars can't be choosers. The A4 sidetrack did give us an opportunity to see Hession reprise his surprise to the upside achieved with A4.

It certainly would be interesting to know exactly why these big banks and investment companies have invested in IOC. Maybe that might help us to understand Hession's thinking and why this project's timeline is as it is.

Art- Good day. OT- Do you know if we paid out the 68 to 70 million on Monday ? If so , do we still have about 100 mil left in cash? If someone has put that info on the board,I guess I just missed it. Many thanks.

I believe they paid out something like $72 million to redeem the Notes. This included the Interest that was due on November 15.
