Investors need to understand the variability of resource versus reserves . In 2000 England was a net exporter of Nat Gas . In 2014 ,England was a net importer of 68 % Nat Gas. The North Sea reserves are expected to be 70 % depleted by 2020. Industry will not produce the future requirements of energy at a loss .
