Handy stuff for getting the Tcf’s and the valuation squared..

One has to add:
- InterOil’s profitable refinery and retail business
- The near certainty of the liquid stripping plant
- Possible commercial oil
- InterOi’ls 40+ promising drilling structures
The latter especially are InterOil’s crown jewels, according to those that have seen the seismics.
STP,
Thank you…
Its just really sad that Interoil can not buy a second drilling rig by now, shareholders have waited for two plus years for this and it would definitely help these delays when we’re waiting months for results from one rig. Why not buy one or two drilling rigs to search these other prospects?
Manpower is not the issue. A supply of rigs is not the issue after the economic collapse in the last couple of years, what on Earth is Interoil waiting on? A partner ?
Unfortunately Roger, I think that we are going to have to wait for an off take deal before we see that second rig. This is my reasoning.
IOC had approx 60 mill in the bank at end of Sept. They appear to be spending approx 20 mill/quarter or for simple math 7 million/month.
It has been 4 months since end of Sept, which would leave them with 32 million in funds left. Two more months puts them to 18 mill. So there I don’t believe we have enough cash left to buy a rig and fund the 5 – 7 mill/month to operate it without running out of cash before end of June.
Hence, why I think we won’t see a second rig until some deals put more cash in the bank. I totally agree with you though, one rig puts major delays in the pipeline and we will have a 3 – 4 month wait on payday news on the next well after the finish up with Ant 2.
Personally, I would like to see 4-5 rigs drilling on the prospects in 2011 but that might be dreaming.
Stay the course!
Thx Darcy …just frustrated.
