I'm a bit surprised that after PPS is down 25% very quickly, that we have had no bounce. I think if it goes below 70 that there is more than shorting and profit taking going on...what it might be I have no idea.

I've been through at least 4 or 5 18-20+ point down short attacks back through the past 5-7 years. They all make you sick, but I can tell you that the stock bounced back from every one of them and went on to make new highs. IMO, someone wants to break 70 on this stock and collect lots of cheap stock. I don't think it will happen, but I couldn't guarantee, I do believe no matter how low they can trash it too, it will come right back up again..fwiw below 70 would qualify as a huge bear trap, imo

IOC stock has been down the last 5 consecutive trading days, which ties the longest string in the last trading year that occurred at the beginning of the decline in early August. The cumulative closing loss is about 14%, which about ties the decline in early August. (For the Eliott Wavers, we now have completed an A-B-C decline with equal length A and C waves on a closing basis, which is the minimum expected C wave relationship to the A wave.)
In the prior trading year, such a string was exceeded only twice, with a lesser point/percentage loss in the negative run -- no matter what the market was doing.
In the prior instances, IOC news wasn't required to break the string. Having said that, the overall market continues in a precarious condition, but it too has declined 5 days in a row, which hasn't happened for months.
From a sentiment indicator standpoint, it is always a good sign when the uber-supporters of a market or an individual stock show signs of despair and/or throwing in the towel. The discussion reeks of frustration and pleadings for some news. It wouldn't surprise me if at least several strong supporters have lightened in hopes of avoiding any more down move and/or are looking to replace shares at an even lower price -- another tell.
