RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - jft310 - 05-31-2013 IMHO as excited as persons may be to sell NG to Exxon at maybe $3 per mcf. I think all should go back and look at Henry's genius. Look at the cash flows from EWC. Or would you rather sell your NG for $3 to Exxon and sell your own LNG for $14 per mmbtu. Now it doesn't take rocket science to see the EWC scheme yields way more profit than any other choice. EWC and Mitsui are FID ready. How many remember that?? Why did PAC LNG hire 7 of 9 Top Exec from EQ Marathon. Henry brought all those persons on board. WHY???? Are they their to waste money or to allow PACLNG to build an IOC LNG plant under budget and on time??? RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - TxPm - 05-31-2013 JFT while I agree EWC may have been the best fit all along I think IOC & EWC were just a couple years to early to the party. The "world" needed a SM's stamp of approval on FLNG before it was deemed viable. Fast forward to today and now you read about a new FLNG at least once a week. The concept has even made its way to the US Gulf Coast through McMoran Energy's 24mpta FLNG proposal that is before the DOE. With all that being said I do believe RC has been buying more IOC for a reason and has maintained his stake in EWC for a reason. I also believe that with the "compromise" of sending enough NG to PNG LNG for 1 or 2 trains IOC has probably built enough goodwill with the Govt to now be able to pursue a Mitsui/EWC deal. The next few months will be quite interesting to say the least RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - jft310 - 05-31-2013 TX-Can't see why an FLNG can't be possible also. May not be FLEX . Might be Hough that Petromin contract. Just musing. They have a plan. Details to be revealed. RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - Tree - 05-31-2013 Kavo is forecasting he will get his Gulf LNG, expandable to 8Mtpa. The project has been FID ready for 1.5 yrs. IOC will be fully funded by XOM feed deal and an XOM built 36" dia pipeline will run to the coast. There will be a few LNG projects in parallel as IOC proves up the gas/condensates #s. XOM cannot develop all of it, they will just secure what they need when they need it. RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - admin - 05-31-2013 I like the sound of that, Tree! RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - Palm - 05-31-2013 Yes and so much for Shell getting the SD as was predicted here last Friday and for EWC being pie-in -sky. Pays to be tuned in to right channels. RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - admin - 06-01-2013 I'm still trying to tune in to the right radio station, which is somewhat hard as they all emit rather pretty music, Palm There is a considerable amount of white noise in-between stations though, that's for sure. RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - Palm - 06-01-2013 Yes, sorting through static is always interesting but last week and again last night an Australian channel reiterated that EWC brass have been in PNG non-stop. Is it only PNG Power ltd gas-fired plants? Is it an LNG project with Horizon/Talisman? Is it LNG project at Gulf? Is it all 3? No way knowing at this point. Kavo is very close with EWC. Might that clinch the deal and make Gulf officials happy? No telling. We know we have Exxon and not Shell. That makes the antelope happy. Now for the rest. RE: Kavo: Gulf Provincial Gov welcomes IOC/XOM partnership - admin - 06-01-2013 It's a fairly safe bet that something will be happening in the Gulf. IOC has more than enough gas even after supplying Exxon with the extra train and Kavo seems pretty happy. The question is with whom.
