RE: Today's News/Stock Action - sageo - 07-12-2013

j.cool-- Could not agree more !! We keep bringing a knife to a gun fight ! The SEC will do nothing (for whatever reason) . Our new CEO and our BOD need to be pro-active instead of re-active . These short and biggies who consistently lie time after time, need to have their #%*&@s chopped off for good. Hope that happens "forthwith". GO ioc!!!

I would love to see all 5 of Tarule's points, but I think this would only bring us temporary results and only framed around the specific value of the specific event - i.e. the value of the special dividend, or the value of the exxon deal, - not the true value of the certified reserve or true full underlying value of IOC.

Like our runup to $100, I see the shorts just patiently let the stock run up, and then hit it hard and grind it right back.

That's the tragedy of the events Tarules lists; the battered and bruised retailers selling off too early.

Same pattern will repeat on deal news IMHO. IOC needs to announce the deal news with XOM and in addition announce: 1. Stock buyback 2. One time divi 3. Stock split 4. Additional analyst coverage 5. Investor dog and pony road show They need to fight fire with fire or the shorts will be haunting longs forever.

Not sure why that is necessary:

The prettiest girl in the bar is NEVER asked if she has a purse full of cash?

True, but the guy walking around the ghetto waving his gold watch and diamond ring with the money sticking out of his wallet is the first one to get mugged.  If IOC and OUR new CEO want to make a real stand and show they can play with the big boys (both good and bad) today would be a very good day to do so IMHO.....time will tell!

RE: Today's News/Stock Action - Getitrt2 - 07-12-2013

They need to continue going to the SEC, but that is definitely not enough. They think getting this deal done will get rid of the shorts. However, if not, they need to file suit against all of them and drag them into court and through discovery and through the press. I think the results would be very interesting, and perhaps force the SEC to pay more attention as well. It might even facilitate an effort by shareholders to get Congressional involvement in what goes on. Am I dreaming?

I have in large part played that game with having paid personally with cases almost into the Supreme Court with Idearc.."Spencer Equity Committee"(Dallas 5th Circuit and above) vs Verizon and J.P Morgan" on a second front.......I can assure you that the FACTS were on our side as to the SCAM.....Still battling now with new heads having been appointed to SEC and other government agencies..Been going on for years...The sound of silence when it comes to legal, law, correcting clear wrongs..Guess I should have taken my medicine then and given up...Think an IOC thing would be similar.,.Maybe gang of crooks are big donors to important people?

Sorry but I believe that you are dreaming. I was very deeply involved in an SEC investigation as a long shareholder. I still have an audio recording where the SEC investigator after a very long conversation said that the only way for company X to get out from under the shorts was to take the company private.  That did it for me and I will never go to the SEC for anything ever again. They will very privately admit to you that the most criminal shorts are way too sophisticated to be caught by LE.

I'm talking about the court system, not the SEC.  If I remember correctly, that is how Minkow finally got taken down, started with a target company going to court and prosecutors subsequently getting involved, I believe.

Spent years in courts with cases hard to argue when talking facts...Courts tend to advance the wallets of lawyers and little else....years and years....1000's & 1000's and 1,000's more...though wish it was not that way...a certain reality I've grown to know well..

RE: Today's News/Stock Action - Getitrt2 - 07-12-2013

IOC will not have to rely on "1,000's", it will have millions with which to go after these bashturds, and a legal staff to help do it would probably be a good use of shareholder money. How many BILLIONS is this company undervalued in some significant part because of these lying libelous criminals?
