["I don't follow this, Admin. We needed a deal with a Supermajor in order to monetize E/A. We don't need another one for each new discovery. Presuming the E/A deal does not fall apart, we will already be part owner of a giant LNG plant. What additional hurdle would ther be to monetiziation? To me, that was just "JFT speak" that has little or no real meaning."]

As I understood it he was arguing that new discoveries are fine but what really matters more for the share price is the Antelope wells, recertification and the size of the Total payments.

Given that MH provides very little info to stock holders; Investors may be trying to gauge A4 and A5 results now.

That is my understanding also... per Admin prior post.

What is your point, Jdeo?

What are your plans with regards to IOC and the stock?

Buy? Hold? Sell?

RE: No more good news please - Thylacine-2 - 12-12-2014

Every time we have a big down day the same anguished voices lament their suffering. I got to hand it to you guys. You really can stand a lot of pain. Owning IOC has been a very painful experience for you. And you hang right in there. Good choice. In the oil business, fundamentals almost always win in the end. Yeah, fundamentals do almost always win... but not always. Back in the 30s Dad and his brother hit a good well on a wildcat down in Upton County. They put their last dime into buying pipe to get the oil to a collection point three or four miles away. They spent days of hard labor hauling the pipe in and stringing it. That done they went to bed, intending to start connecting the pipe the next morning. Over night somebody stole the pipe. They went bust and had to sell the rig. What if somebody steals our pipe? If you are suffering so much now, how will you suffer if somebody steals our pipe? I got to admire somebody that can stand so much pain. I'm not into suffering myself. So I just don't do it.

CAC tell me the exact size of the monetization payment and when??
Tell me the results of the arbitration .
It's the uncertainty that prevents more buying
What's the price of oil ?? Has that any bearing??
One either believes in the resource or not .

Based on the volume, maybe a large shareholder was using today to get out for tax purposes to shelter other gains end of year and buy back in thirty days.

Wishful thinking?

Thats what it looks like to me.  Some big boy(s) decided to exit.  Why is the question.  The small number of outstanding shares will always make this stock volatile.  We need a 10 for 1 split.  2014 has sucked.  Hoping for a much better 2015.  Can't get much worse on good news or can it?  Unless there is really bad news leaking out.

How will a 10 for 1 split change anything? Still the same dollars trading.

Correct on day 1.  And for a good while later.  But eventually there will be more potential for more owners and more transactions when existing owners sell assuming the company succeeds.  At least that's the hope.
