Total Suppying Japanese Gas - davidhmtk - 07-22-2016 Remember their PR from 2days ago: ... Total was keen to increase its share in the project for such a value. It was also clear to Total that a portion of the acquired interests would have to be offered to certain LNG buyers and also to PNG LNG participants in order to develop synergies between the Papua LNG project and the PNG LNG project RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - jft310 - 07-22-2016 Small amount of gas . Date to start is 2019 before Papua if built would be up and running . RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - Stavros - 07-22-2016 The point JFT is that TOTAL is committed to sell over 20 million tons per year from their global portfolio of LNG in the early 2020's They currently control a bit over 10 million tons per year; so they will need production from Papua LNG (or HINT another project) RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - sageo - 07-22-2016

If they did, wouldn't that "stir the pot" a little more ? Interesting to cogitate for a moment . RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - jdeo1969 - 07-22-2016 I think he is suggesting that they need the plant to meet the stated goal, therefore, they will bid on ioc. My interpretation at least. RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - ebster123 - 07-22-2016 It would be nice to see a sovereign wealth fund with personal interests and a dire need for LNG to come into the mix. Pie in the sky dream BUT twice the current offer may knock out the SM's, still be cheaper for them by removing the middle man (SM), the SM of choice would still be operator and my suspicion is that shareholders would jump at it. Time will tell... RE: Total Suppying Japanese Gas - ArtM72 - 07-23-2016

Time will tell... That is a GREAT point ebster. With Total the JV operator PNG concerns appear minimal. Since IOC has no operations of any kind anymore there is no reason for a silent partner to have any capacity other than money and an immediate market for the gas. They are not even in the ballgame at our level -another comment. Total knows of their lowly position amongst their E&P members. They will be back. New CEO and time to break out.
