I've been following this board and SHU and have captured what I think are the key posts/points from SHU and will share a few thoughts.

IF Hession has been approached by an outside bidder after XOM was granted exclusivity by the old regime and IF Hession closed 3 lng deals in  the last 2 years without exclusivity (both assertions made on SHU), well, connect the dots.

And if Hession's old boss at Woodside was an ex-XOMer, then the old boss ran Woodside similarly to XOM.
 Since Hession was the #2 guy at Woodside, he would have been using/seeing the same negotiating techniques that XOM is now using on IOC. So he knows how to best counter them - he has seen 3 companies across the boardroom react to them

It's to IOC's, XOM's and PNG's highest financial benefit to get this deal done - so that to me means it will finally happen here pretty soon.

TA -- Thanks for your post. Just had a thought....(while my incredible spouse will hardly speak to me right now about "Interole" ) ....is there someone on the mb who can give us a little more insight into Peter O'Neill's nature. Every time I read about something he has said about IOC, he always seems to end up with" we(PNG) would like to see this happen very fast" .Is it his nature to handle frustration so well (??) or is it that his meaning of the word "fast" is just different than most of us would believe ?
