InterOil short interest
#11
Interesting if Chandler is loaning shares and he has not been buying more. In the end, if there is a way to make some short term cash on loaning until a deal is done if you have the shares that is an option. If Wells was the source of the 100 calls sold last month they may be loaning to keep the price down after the rise to $99 recently.

In the net, the short interest isn't really increasing that much.

There's just a lot of game playing going on, with a lot of interplay between the stock and option activities.

The shorts can make a lot of money doing their thing before the axe falls.

For any true believer in the ultimate outcome, all of it is just noise.

A huge amount of out of the money calls in the October series and the series expiring this Friday were written and purchased today -- way more than the then trading volume in the stock.

Think of the possibilities from both the buyer and seller point of view -- and also the point of view of the shorts.
