Beware the typical IOC earnings pattern. They run it up in anticipation of news. If the company tells us that talks are progressing well, the shorts will pound the crap out of the common post earnings call. Our new CEO might be able to break this trend.

FWIW, I expect NO NEWS on the CC other than hearing a new CEO's vision. Depending on the tone of the call I might be hedging with Sept. calls.

You are absolutely right.  My error.  However, that seems like an awfully long period, and I don't get the sense the company necessarily has held to that strict policy.  I wonder if they actually have a different policy in practice, or a more intense "quiet period" period.
