I can't quite make out the name from my map copy...Plaeteosaurus?. Maybe Palmosaurus. I don't know. But IOC's data there appears to have been reinterpreted. Another interesting slide in that presentation, 73, shows PRE with 15 teams of geoscientists and an overall 80% success rate since 2006 in drilling 202 wells. Good Karma, good science, or both? It's Pteranodon.
At the Analyst meeting in PNG on Oct. 1, 2012 we picked up the following information:
Dave was asked where he thought the best prospects for oil might be. He said West of Triceratops.
He also mentioned White Tail, Raptor and Mule Deer as possibilities but said don’t count on it but don’t rule it out.
This is particularly interesting now that PRE shows three new prospects west of Triceratops and mentions Raptor for one of their planned wells to drill in 2013.
I do not know if it is connected in any way but it seems to be highly coincidental.
I think the Raptor well will be drilled at the North end of the Raptor prospect because I believe that to be the highest part of the structure. It also just happens to be the closest prospect we have to Puri-1 which we know produced oil for about 10 days. Another coincidence?
Something to keep in mind.
