Actually, Destiny doesn't need Shazam to pull that off, it's their tech and I'm not sure whether Shazam will have access to that DRM data. The PR says that DSNY will provide digital fingerprints (which recognizes the music, author etc.) to Shazam, I'm really not sure this involves Shazam having access to (proprietary) data pertaining possible DRM violations.
The purpose is clearly stated:
