Agreed Palm and Sam. Stock performance is abysmal as is the apparent lack of performance on the part of Hession and company. This is a "tranformational" year for IOC and the only thing that has transformed is the stock price has been slammed in a 1 year time frame by -30%. If you want to compare that to the XOP which is essentially -6% for the year.
If you want to look at a 2 year period, IOC is down -38% and the XOP is up +17%. Even more exciting is looking at this within a 4 year time frame where IOC is -27% and the XOP is up +44%.
All in all, I invest in higher risks stocks like IOC to OUTperform the sector indices. IOC has grossly underperformed. Especially under the command of Dr. Hession. Under Dr. Hession's watch from his start in the summer of 2013, IOC is down - 40% vs XOP which is +3%.
