As to your first issue, the process is probably too far advanced to make a U-turn, at least one without upsetting a number of parties. And that is if Duma was the deciding factor making them change track, not everybody is fully convinced about that.
On the second issue, yes, I've personally held that view for some time (that is, the 'gambit' option, sell EA and have funds enough to drill from here to eternity), but there are likely to be so many variables in the proposed deals that it's difficult to judge from the outside.
Anyway, if these are the worst problems we have, we're in a pretty good spot, I would say
