Papua New Guinea’s most experienced Olympian, Daisy Dika Tree, competing in her fourth Olympiad at the London 2012 Games, showed some of what has gotten her this far by putting together a respectable performance in the women’s 53kg division.
But the 28-year-old said she was disappointed not to have done better, particularly in the clean and jerk where she managed 95kg but was aiming to reach triple figures.
“My total score was not as high as I would have liked. I thought I had it with my clean and jerk but it just didn’t happen,” a disappointed Toua said.
“But I’m happy with being able to represent PNG at a fourth Olympics.”
