What role will the PNG play in takeover??
#1

Since the govt owns 10 percent of Oil Search would they offer up Interoil??

Or!!The government is cash poor needs cash would they monetize their Oil Search stake to balance the checkbook and fund Papua LNG build ???

Or would the government say it's a commercial decision and let the chips fall where they fall.

Curious what others think ???

Didn't the government borrow the money to buy the OSH stock? They might not get any cash from it, at least initially if at all.

I would bet the stock is collateral, which if sold would require payoff or replacement collateral (Woodside stock), not generating much cash to PNG.
