Today???

By my count, 9 pm ET today, Wednesday will mark 3 days from time that the XOM bid was disclosed. We could know if OSH countered by then. Not holding my breath, since I expect TOT would take the lead on any new bid, but time will tell.

If they don't counter then there is a delay for another vote?

The time clock started counting on Tuesday morning NYC time.

According to the rules of engagement agreed between ICO and OSH in the current Arrangement, the deadline for OSH to offer a revised Proposal is Close of Business in NYC on Thursday July 21.

According to IOC's IR Dept, "It (the Vote) is cancelled and the clock is reset ie. New record date, new mic, new voting date (likely September)"

Interesting they start a day and a half after OSH broke the news.

But OSH was notified no later than Sunday, July 17th at 9 pm Eastern US time, since that's when they anounced. Even allowing business days rather than calendar days would only get you to COB Wednesday, unless you post date notification by over a day.

Per the IOC PR:

"Under the terms of the Oil Search Agreement, Oil Search has a period of three calendar days, which will expire on July 21, 2016 (the “Response Period”), during which it can offer to amend the terms of the Oil Search Agreement."

This depends on where the clock started ticking, in PNG or in USA. If PNG clock expires tonight USA time.
