Serious Reality Check coming
#11

I am very pleasantly surprised that IOC stock has held up so well the past 24 hours.  That being said, I have taken some money off the table in IOC and a few other stocks.  My accounts are at all-time highs, so it is only right to rebalance and take some cash off the table.  After all, you can’t buy on dips (like I have done so much with IOC) if you don’t have cash.

Yes, Gator, quite right. Nobody has lost money on taking some profits, and few things go up in a straight line, although I have a feeling that IOC could be a bit of an exception here, with the increased likelihood of the political tensions subsiding, negotiations reaching a conclusion, and 8M+ shares short. Jury still out.

I am not selling IOC , I have 20 some percent cash for any dip.

I reluctantly sold a few shares I picked up in the $50’s (short term) in both my IRA and personal accounts. I am still way, way overweighed. To ease my guilt, I moved over 10,000 shares out of margin accounts into cash. I hope the shorts that were borrowing the shares get a buy in notice.
