Hopeful Thread
HLV: I'll try to find their purchase date of nusmf - that would be really interesting information to know.  If they didn't see value in nusmf wouldn't the fund managers of USAGX have already dumped it? Why are they still holding it?

USAGX ticker: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/USAGX?p=USAGX&.tsrc=fin-srch

NUSMF trading:

October 2023 (reported only I guess) Volume: 33,856
October 2023 Shares shorted: 169,164

It would just be nice to know if there are other entities out there that have a vested interest in ensuring their shares are honored within the new functioning operation however that manifests.

I'm encouraged by the all the exploitation language with the ISA. Hopefully they can get past any moratorium discussions from the loud minority of countries and orgs that refuse to accept the reality of our world. Interesting to read through all the technical jargon these folks have to sift through....or not...

Interesting article on the evolving role of the OTC Expert Market. Last three paragraphs caught my attention in particular:

1.) "Home for 144A Securities",
2.) "Bridge from Private to Public", and
3.) "Bankruptcies, Distressed and Orphaned Securities".

I have no idea where this site gets its info, but i'm fairly certain its just automation that gets triggered when it sees trade data. My brokerage account doesn't reflect any of this activity tho

This tracks with what I understand about the Expert Market. Brokers can fulfill buys/sell orders from "accredited" or institutional investors without having to make any of the information (bid, offer, volume, price, etc.) public because the ticker is for a non-filing company. Retail clients can only sell these stocks through participating brokers.

That website is definitely automated and pulled that price & volume data from somewhere.  The same kind of thing happened a few weeks ago when the news services said 275,000+ shares traded and the official OTC site said around 36,000 on the same day.  I'll take it as a good sign!

Wow I can see why Nauru agreed to be the first country to sponsor a seabed mining application in international waters with The Metals Company:

TMC took control of Nauru's mining claim via "purchase" from Nautilus Minerals in 2019. DSMF screwed-up big time on that one! Or did they???

What is the point of shorting a stock that trades at 0.000001?

Bille: great question man. NUSMF is still trading and if it actually goes to zero (from its present fractional price) there's no real profit to be made by betting that the stock is going to fall further. In addition transaction costs would put the short seller at a loss.  Rule 4560 requires all short positions to be reported so we know someone is doing it.  Seems like a waste of time - I just don't get it.

This is kind of on topic: https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers...ted-stock/

I guess if the shorter succeeds in driving the price down from 0.000001 to 0.000000 then maybe they have succeeded in pushing us out.? What are the values that are inherent to a stock's worth? When it goes from a -millionth of a penny to less than, is it now worth a -billionth? Also what is the story with the Russian who had partnered with the other person who had decided to sink NUSMF?
