My two cents. Given that there has been a lot of option activity the last couple of weeks market markers (who take the opposite side of the trades) are buying and selling (maybe borrowing) shares to remain delta neutral and balance. We will continue to see this type of intraday action until we get some news (or a big buyer steps in) which will flood the market and overcome any manipulation.
