What lost decade??!

What you hear about Japan has little bearing with the reality there. The country suffered a financial shock that was as large, or larger than the West in the Great Depression of the 1930s or the shock in 2008. Yet Japan didn’t suffer any Great Depression like economic slump, far from it. The statistics are simply awesome:
